Method :
·
Break the jackfruit seed with a
stone/hammer and remove the
upper cover (don’t make to very small pieces).
·
Cut the ash gourd to 1” cubes.
·
Cook toor dal.
·
Combine, jackfruit seed, ash gourd,
turmeric powder, salt and
cook well.
·
Add the cooked toor dal and keep
aside.
·
In between, grind the coconut, cumin
seeds, chilli powder into a
smooth paste.
·
Add this masala to the cooked
jackfruit seed, ash gourd, toor dal mixture. Boil for few more minutes, until
the curry becomes thick.
·
Season with mustard seeds and broken
whole red chilies.
·
Put the curry leaves on top and close
the vessel to get the whole fragrance of mustard and curry leaves.
