Snake Gourd Puttu (Steamed Rice)



Puttu is a common food in Kerala, Tamil Nadu & Sri Lanka.
Normally, it is being cooked in the vessel/s specially made to
make Puttu (Puttu Kutti, Chiratta etc.) .

Here, we are presenting a Special Puttu, without a vessel or
the vessel also we can eat along with the Puttu.

Healthy & Tasty one.  Try as a breakfast for a healthy beginning…..


 



Ingredients :

Snake Gourd
1 No.
Rice Flour – roasted
1 Cup
Water
¼ cup
Salt
As required

Method :

-         Take the rice flour in a vessel.
-         Add salt in water and add slowly to the rice flour. 
Don’t add more or less water. 
-         Take and make a slit in the snake gourd, lengthwise.
-         Fill it with the rice flour and tie.
-         Keep it in a steamer or in a rice cooker and steam.
-         It will take around 8 minutes to cook in high flame.
