Thoran,
Poduthooval, Mezhukkupuratti are Kerala dishes, to be used as a
MURINGA ILA - DRUMSTICK LEAF THORAN
side dish
along with the rice.
Mostly these
are made with chopped vegetables. There
are some recipes with
non-vegetarian
things also.
Here, we are
starting one separate section, with around or more than 100 varieties. Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian.
(In the same
way, we are starting many more sections.
All with 50 - 100+
varieties
: Biriyani, Dosa, Payasam/Kheer, Aviyal,
Sambar, Puttu, Chutney,
Chammanthi,
Rice, Theeyal, Kichadi-Pachadi, Salads, Soup, Upma,
Achar/Pickles,
Puzhukku, Kanji etc. etc.)
Already we are
posted two Thorans. One in our Onam
Section (http://achnath.blogspot.com/2013/08/onam-recipe-4_27.html )
and another in
common (http://achnath.blogspot.com/2013/09/vazhappoo-cherupayaru-thoran-dry-side.html).
The next one
is with Drumstick Leaves.
The hard part
with the Drumstick leaf is : Separating.
We have to take more care to
separate only
the leaf from the stem. Otherwise, it
will get bitter and the entire taste will change. But, once you separated the leaf, the cooking
process is very easy.
And, when you
know the benefits of the Drumstick leaf, you will forget about the strain that
you took before while separating.
